Tell us your desired pick-up time and location and we will handle the rest. For the Daniel Johnson Sloth Hangout, travel time from the West side of the island can take up to 45 minutes to an hour. This animal park is the most withdrawn from the island center, but this gives us more time to showcase the island's rich culture and history on the way over.
If you are a cruise ship guest, please tell us your ship name and time you would like to be met.
After arrival, we will head up the hill and check you in to the park. Once done, you will head to the guest wait area and talk or socialize with your RAS guide and other guests. Typical wait times range from 5 to 15 minutes.
Once your guide pairs you with a group, you will all head up the hill and start your animal park tour.
You will meet Capuchin Monkeys, Spider Monkeys, Sloths, Macaws and even Toucans.
After you are done with your activity, we will take you back to your desired pick-up location or location of your choosing.
If you are a cruise ship guest, we will have to depart 2-3 hours before your ship's departure time.

No. Recent regulations forbid from directly touching sloths. This is to prevent these sensitive animals from being stressed. Guests can feed the sloths, take selfies or videos with them and in some cases hold their branch, but they are not to touch them. Guests can interact, hold and touch other animals but not sloths.
Daniel Johnson Sloth Hangout has many different species that have been rescued. These include: Capuchin and spider Monkeys, Macaws, Toucans and other species.
Daniel Johnson Monkey and Sloth Hangout is one of the first rescue parks on Roatan. They are family owned and have decades of experience in the care of animals. Since 2025, they inaugurated their new facility. A spacious 4 acre property where animals have more room to live and guests can move comfortably.
All tours and transportation services are subject to weather, safety, and operational conditions. Roatan Airport Shuttles reserves the right to modify, reschedule, or cancel services due to bad weather or circumstances beyond our control. If we cancel a service, guests will be offered the option to reschedule or receive a refund.
Roatan Airport Shuttles is not responsible for delays or cancellations caused by airlines, cruise ships, or other third parties. Missed tours due to late arrivals, same-day cancellations, or no-shows are non-refundable. Guests must be on time for pickup and follow all safety instructions provided by drivers and guides.
